Natural Perfumes versus Synthetic

Natural perfume is a whole different ball game than Synthetic fragrances, they are much more subtle. As another perfumist wrote

“You are interacting with the soul of the plant”.

Natural perfumes take a bit of getting used to if you are used to mainstream perfumes which are much stronger smelling and last all day.

In our company brochures & packaging we say to apply Kis Perfume every 4 hours. Which is why we have a bottle of good quality glass and very portable.

Kis perfumes are really natural perfumes will be a lot more subtle and shorter lasting, than mainstream “synthetic” fragrances.
even some of the perfumes that are described as natural use synthetics,

Therefore, the lasting power of natural perfume will always be less than the mainstream perfumes.

In the case of Mintelle, it only contains citrus oils so does not have the benefit of natural fixatives eg. woody notes, resins, etc…
The Essential Oils used in the other two Kis perfumes are vanillin (from clove), patchouli, sandalwood, frankincense these all form Base notes and hold the fragrance longer, they are natural fixatives.

So our other perfumes, Nilla and One Flower do last longer than Mintelle.

My original idea was for customers to buy the 50ml spray perfume as well as the rollerball perfume oil and use the perfume oil to top up during the day.

In regards to the cost of the perfume, Kis perfumes use therapeutic grade organic oils which are the purist and most expensive, they are created and produced without any pesticides or nasty chemicals. Organic jojoba which is also more expensive again than it non-organic equivalent. And the packaging is recycled paper, more expensive again, and we sourced very high quality glass bottles, that we have to get from America.

BTW When l got your email I put both the rollerball oil and the spray Mintelle on me earlier today and l can still smell both in nearly 3 hours later! The spray smells a bit stronger. It is fading.
The lasting power of the natural perfumes also varies greatly among individuals – depending on your skin type and other factors.

So, I would be wary of any fragrance that lasts all day!

Mainstream perfumes contain synthetic fixatives which are very bad for your health, and the wellbeing of people around you. Some have said that wearing synthetic perfumes is “the new smoking”, it effects some people so negatively.

So you may need to adjust your expectations, if you are going down the health route of natural perfumes. You may have to apply your perfume more frequently, which is a pleasure and a natural pick me up, as Kis perfumes use organic essential oils.

I actually love reapplying my perfume ( l wear Kis Nilla) every few hours as l get a little “hit” from the aromatherapy effects/qualities of the pure organic essential oils as l reapply. And it definitely effects my mood in a positive way.
